What Percentage of Physicians From Various U.S. Regions Have Adopted an EHR System?

Rates of electronic health record adoption among physicians in the Northeast U.S. grew from 19.9% in 2002 to 52.1% in 2011, according to a recent Health Affairs study.

The study found that EHR adoption rates among physicians in the Midwest grew from 19% in 2002 to 55.5% in 2011, while EHR adoption rates among physicians in the South grew from 16.5% in 2002 to 50.9% in 2011.

In the Western U.S., EHR adoption rates increased from 19.5% in 2002 to 60.8% in 2011.

The study is based on data from CDC's National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey from between 2002 and 2011.

The link to the Health Affairs study is correct. The study is based on data from the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey, which collects data on a nationally representative sample of visits to nonfederal office-based U.S. physicians, excluding radiologists, anesthesiologists, and pathologists. --The Editors

More important to I&A efforts than the destination sites is this aggregation of search keywords / phrases embodied as a list of categories.

This demographic- if the link is correct- should have been reported since it is an important qualifier.
