About 41% of consumers prefer to receive a reminder to perform a health-related task through text messaging, according to a survey from the Consumer Health Information Corporation.
The survey found that about 15% of consumers prefer getting such reminders through e-mail and that 1.3% of consumers prefer phone calls for such reminders.
According to the survey, nearly 80% of consumers said they would be more likely to use an interactive health-related smart phone application if it analyzed information and offered feedback.
In addition, about 31% of consumers indicated that they are willing to pay between $1 and $5.99 for a health-related app.
Results are based on an online survey conducted in April of 395 smart phone users at businesses and universities.
