Group Launches Video Contest To Promote Value of Telehealth

Last week, the American Telemedicine Association announced that it has launched a video contest aimed at promoting the importance of telehealth, mobile health and remote monitoring to patients and health care administrators, Becker's Hospital Review reports.

ATA is accepting entries for the contest -- called, "Expect Telemedicine Because Telemedicine Works" -- through Aug. 15 (Roney, Becker's Hospital Review, 7/2).

Details of the Contest

Videos submitted for the contest must be either 30 seconds or 60 seconds long and must focus on one of two objectives:

  • Evoking awareness, interest and demand among consumers for telehealth services; or
  • Promoting the value of telehealth to hospital administrators and health system leaders.

The contest will award four prizes that total $16,000 (ATA release, 6/29).
