On Monday, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT launched a video challenge that invites individuals to submit short videos on how obtaining access to electronic health records can help patients receive the best care, Government Health IT reports.
Contest Details
According to a notice published in the Federal Register, videos should focus on how individuals gained access to their EHRs and what information they found in their records.
Submitted videos should be less than two minutes long.
The top five videos will be selected based on the:
- Quality of the story; and
- Likelihood that the video will motivate others to access their EHRs.
Prizes, Deadline
The first-prize video will receive $3,000 and could appear on ONC's website (Mosquera Government Health IT, 7/9). Additional prizes range from $250 to $2,000 (ONC Challenge, 7/9).
Submissions are due by Aug. 23 (Government Health IT, 7/9).
