The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT has launched its Beat Down Blood Pressure Video Challenge, which asks consumers and health care providers to submit videos on how they use electronic health records and other health IT tools to manage blood pressure, Modern Healthcare reports.
ONC is working with HHS' Million Hearts campaign to prevent one million heart attacks and strokes over five years.
In a Federal Register notice, ONC wrote, "This challenge is an open call for the public to create and submit short, compelling videos sharing how they use health IT or consumer e-health tools to managed high blood pressure."
Health providers also can participate in the contest by submitting videos on how they use health IT to manage patients' high blood pressure.
The videos cannot be longer than two minutes.
Cash prizes totaling $5,500 will be awarded in six categories (Conn, Modern Healthcare, 3/23).
