NIH has launched a new website to educate the public about clinical trials and provide resources for locating trials, Modern Healthcare reports (McKinney, Modern Healthcare, 2/6);

The site aims to encourage more people to participate in clinical trials (AHA News, 2/6).

The site provides potential clinical trial participants with:

  • Basic information about participating in a clinical trial;
  • Videos of past volunteers describing their experiences with clinical trials (Modern Healthcare, 2/6);
  • Links to search for available trials or research matching programs; and
  • Explanations from researchers about clinical trials.

The website also provides physicians with educational resources that they can use when talking to patients about clinical trials (NIH release, 2/6).
