M&A, Financial Reports and Funding

VeriTeQ Acquisition, a provider of radio frequency identification technology, will merge with Connectyx Technologies Holdings Group, a vendor of personal health and wellness management systems, for an undisclosed sum...IMS Health, a provider of health care information, services and technology, has acquired PharmARC Analytic Solutions, a provider of commercial analytics and services to drug and medical product companies, for an undisclosed sum.

Quality Systems, a vendor of EHR, practice management and revenue cycle management applications, reported a Q3 2012 net income of $21.1 million on $112.8 million in revenue, compared with a Q3 2011 net income of $17.5 million on $91.9 million in revenue.

drchrono, a provider of point-of-care and practice management software, has secured $2.8 million in funding with contributions from multiple investors.

Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston has deployed Agfa HealthCare's imaging data storage products...MyHealth Access Network, a Beacon Community in Oklahoma, will deploy Archimedes' clinical decision support tool...the Veterans Health Administration will use Decision Simulation's virtual patient platform for education and training purposes.

Intermountain Healthcare in Utah has selected Kony Solutions' mobile application platform...CentraCare Health System in Minnesota will implement iSirona's device connectivity technology… Emergency Medicine Physicians, a nationwide medical group of emergency physicians, will provide iTriage's mobile medical application in EMP-managed emergency departments nationwide.
