HHS Enters Into New Contract To Help Build National Health Network

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT has contracted with systems integration company Stanley to help enroll participants in the Nationwide Health Information Network, Washington Technology reports.

ONC is working to define guidelines, polices, the implementation process and operation standards for the exchange of health information through NHIN.

Contract Details

With the two-year, $6 million contract, Stanley will:

  • Enroll users into the NHIN;
  • Provide help desk support;
  • Update directories within NHIN; and
  • Distribute digital certificates (Hubler, Washington Technology, 8/2).

Subcontractors in the contract include 5am Solutions and the Nitor Group (Clabaugh, Washington Business Journal, 8/2).
