The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society and the American Society for Quality have launched a new Web site that offers case studies on effective application of health IT tools, Health Data Management reports.
The site includes 16 case studies of organizations that have used electronic health tools to boost effectiveness, efficiency, quality and safety.
The Joint Commission, the National Committee for Quality Assurance and the National Quality Forum also participated in the project.
HIMSS plans to issue a call for a second round of case studies in early March (Goedert, Health Data Management, 2/3).
A list of the health care facilities selected for the case studies is available from a HIMSS release.
