Wisconsin Officials Seek Stakeholder Input on E-Health Record Sharing

On Tuesday, Wisconsin Department of Health Services Secretary Karen Timberlake launched the first in a series of summits designed to gather input from health care stakeholders on how best to share electronic health records, the AP/Chicago Tribune reports.

The goal of the summits is to identify requirements and priorities for an EHR sharing infrastructure.

State health officials plan to hold similar meetings throughout the state this month. Health care organizations, insurers, hospitals, doctors, consumers and local government leaders have been invited to participate (AP/Chicago Tribune, 7/7).
