At the Health 2.0 Conference in Boston on Wednesday, Kaiser Permanente announced that more than three million of its roughly 8.6 million members use its My Health Manager, making it the most-used online personal health record service nationwide, the San Francisco Business Times reports.
Kaiser spokesperson Ravi Poorsina said the health care system is tracking the market "and no one has the adoption we have."
About 80,000 Kaiser Foundation Health Plan enrollees sign up each month for the PHR service, according to Poorsina.
According to Kaiser, My Health Manager lets members:
- Access their PHRs;
- E-mail their physicians;
- Order prescriptions;
- View lab results; and
- Schedule appointments.
My Health Manager is connected to Kaiser's HealthConnect electronic health record system (Rauber, San Francisco Business Times, 4/22).
