New York Hospital Readies Telemedicine Stroke Program

The New York Department of Health's telemedicine stroke care program on Tuesday was launched at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, Business First of Buffalo reports.

The program, which was announced in September, is intended to improve New York hospitals' access to stroke care.

An audio and visual link will connect Memorial's emergency department with Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital in Buffalo. Memorial's physicians will consult with stroke vascular surgeons at Millard Fillmore Gates to plan treatment, Business First reports (Franczyk, Business First of Buffalo, 10/24).
