AHRQ To Seek Bids for Up to $50M in Contracts for Health IT Projects

Next month, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality will seek bids for up to $50 million in health IT project contracts, Government Health IT reports.

In a notice posted online last week, AHRQ said it plans to award numerous contracts in four domain areas:

  • Health IT dissemination and marketing;
  • Health IT program management and planning;
  • Health IT technical assistance and content development; and
  • Health IT Web portal management and design.

Bidders can submit proposals for any number of domains.

AHRQ plans to award about three to six contracts per domain. The multiple award contracts will have a base period of one year and four option years.

According to AHRQ, the task orders will total $25 million over the five-year period, "with the potential of $50 million if the program expands and gains federal partners" (Moore, Government Health IT, 12/22).
